A full size loft bed with desk can be a useful addition to a bedroom for many people.  I can see that there are many uses for them, especially for tall teens through to adults who are living in compact accommodation. It's important to take advantage of any extra features that can come with these beds, so you can be more organized and comfortable in your bedroom.
Not only can you get a full size loft bed with a desk, but there can be extra features added to the bed as well.  These can be beds with storage drawers, shelves, or a comfortable futon for some relaxation time in your bedroom.  That's something that will appeal to many people.

There are many styles of loft beds with desks that you can choose from.  The range can vary from simple styles to more elaborate ones, and they come in metal or wood.  The metal loft beds often suite a younger group of people who prefer a more modern decor in their rooms. They also have the advantage that they are a lot harder to modify if a teenager wants to decorate the bed in their own style - a style that parents may not be too keen on.  I prefer the wood ones myself as to me, they give a warmer feel to a room.  The desks too, can vary in size.  For some people, they only need a small work space for their needs, whilst others need a good size working area if they are using their desk for serious study or work.  Personally, I always like to spread my work around on my working space so I can see what I'm doing rather than working in a cramped space.

One feature that can be a big advantage of your large loft bed, and that is a bed that has some sort of inbuilt storage capacity included in it.  It seems to me, that there is always a shortage of storage space, and this applies to my bedroom as well as anywhere else in my house, and many other people also experience this problem.

Extra helpful features that can be built onto a loft bed can be drawers or shelves, or both, as these features can be a real asset in a cluttered bedroom, especially when you you have a desk attached to the loft bed.  Not only can the drawers help remove clutter from your desk top, but they can also provide a place for small items of clothing, taking the place of a set of drawers which once again saves extra space. 

Shelves too are a great addition to the bed, as they can help your desk top be more organized  by using the shelves to stack your books for easy access when working at your desk.  In addition, if there is any extra room, you can use the shelves to store such items as a clock, pen and pencil storage, or for any other items you need to keep handy.

This style of bed really does pack a punch with the luxury of a futon chair along with the desk, as both these features can come with the loft bed.  There can even be room to fit in an ordinary chair for working at the desk.  However, if using the futon as a comfortable place to lounge around, you may find having an ordinary chair beside you a little bit on the squeezy side, but it would be easy to move the desk chair out a bit for some more room around the futon. However this bed arrangement certainly provides alternative uses for activities in and around the bedroom, be it working at the desk, watching television, or using a computer.  There are a couple of things you need to consider though,  and the first is that this bed is not a full size bed, however it is accommodating people who are six feet in height, so it is likely to suit most people.  The second thing to note is that it  does not come with the cushion for the futon - it needs to be purchased separately.

Having a loft bed with a desk can have a number of variations attached to the bed, so you need to give consideration to what features you will find the most useful, that is if you would like any extra features at all.  For me, I would put a priority on a large desk and have as much storage capacity as I can get.
